The “Fun-Raisers” Fund
The “Fun-Raiser’s” Fund is comprised of restricted gifts made by individuals and organizations who are committed to supporting Sandhills Children’s Center by participating in annual special events. Special event fundraising makes up twenty percent of the total local support within our community and is critical to creating awareness of the mission of the Children’s Center. Sandhills Children’s Center is fueled by the power of local support and the proceeds from special events that have historically impacted thousands of children’s lives and those whose futures have yet to be realized. Donors to special event fundraising are able to demonstrate their commitment to Sandhills Children’s Center by designating their gifts to a specific event, while having the satisfaction of providing a child, regardless of his or her disability, the right to live, to work, and to esteem himself or herself to reach their fullest potential. These loyal supporters are recognized at each specific event and in the annual report for the fiscal year the gift or gifts are made.
