Program Help

Too often we under-estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring…

 

Our year-round program offers wonderful opportunities to work directly with our children with disabilities in small group settings or as an individual.  Volunteers are needed to help the children throughout their day as they participate in field trips, meals, and with the many other classroom activities.

 

Special Events

Throughout the year, Sandhills Children’s Center holds special events that help raise money for our programs. Volunteers are needed in a variety of capacities from serving on planning and auction committees to setting up our Festival of Trees to working at our wine event, Run for the Roses. • Baby Food (individual jars)
• Baby Wipes
• Batteries (AA, C and D)
• Books (Ages 0 – 5)
• Children’s Toothpaste
• Construction Paper and Crayons
• Diapers
• Educational Toys (ages 0 – 5)
• Laundry Detergent
• Children’s area rugs (New – any size appreciated)
• Training Pants (New Underpants – not pull-ups) sizes 3, 4, 5, and 6
